Eddie and Jenny find themselves alone, surrounded by 'shadow people' who, like them, lost their way.

Directed by Leah Townley, with music composition and direction from Danny McAvoy, Choreography from Lee Rath and Production Design by Belle Mundi, Eddie & Jenny is a new and completely original musical theatre production, debuting at Exeter Phoenix on the 18th June 2025, with support from Arts Council England.

Eddie & Jenny is a love story that explores themes of homelessness, substance dependency and mental health issues, with a 12-strong cast representing all the challenges that the shadow people face as they try to get their lives back on track. ​

To ensure the story’s themes are presented accurately and sensitively, the team are working in partnership with 3 charities who's mission it is to support the real shadow people struggling everyday with addiction issues, homelessness and poor mental health,

Like the charities, Exeter College is helping with the devlopement of the script, with students providing feedback on the show from the perspective of young people in general. On top of this, the college, along with Plymouth and Exeter universities, has been a source of young performing arts professionals who are contributing to the show as cast members and the professional team that will film the show.
