With funding support from The Arts Council, we performed the pilot of Eddie & Jenny at The Phoenix Theatre Exeter in June 2025.

The future
​
We are now building a beefed up, fully professional new production of Eddie & Jenny that we plan to tour to eight major West Country theatres in May & June 2027.
A NEW & ORIGINAL MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION
Eddie & Jenny is an original musical written by Danny McAvoy
Eddie and Jenny find themselves alone, surrounded by 'shadow people' who, like them, lost their way.

Directed by Leah Townley, with music composition and direction from Danny McAvoy, Choreography from Lee Rath and Production Design by Belle Mundi, Eddie & Jenny is a new and completely original musical theatre production, that had its debut at Exeter Phoenix on the 18th June 2025, with support from Arts Council England and a cast of twelve.
Eddie & Jenny is a love story that explores the causes and consequences of homelessness, including rough sleeping, substance dependency and mental health issues. ​To ensure the story’s themes are presented accurately and sensitively, we worked in partnership with the staff and clients of three charities including:

Plymouth, Exeter & Bristol universities & Exeter College were a source of young performing arts & film students
who greatly contributed to the show as cast members, assistants to the creative team and as part of the professional team that filmed the show.
​
Having staged a successful pilot, we are now planning a bigger, beefed-up, fully professional production that we will tour to 8 major West Country theatres in 2027, plus we will make a new film that we will offer to tucked-away village halls and community centres, and we will offer the film to schools for use as part of a structured learning and development process.

Eddie & Jenny meet and fall in love, but they each have issues that threaten to pull them apart.
Eddie got in with some bad people who threatened to hurt him when he refused to help them run an online scam. Now he’s hiding in the countryside.
Jenny is a hard-working single mum, but she struggles with a drug problem and mental health issues.
Can Eddie keep ahead of the bad guys? Can Jenny beat her addiction? Can they get through their issues and stay together?
Perhaps, perhaps not.​
